Mix-d: are offering a 3 month paid internship for a designer to work under the direction of Ivyparkmedia, our web developer.
Mix-d: mission is to see mixed-race people at the heart of mixed-race discussions. We conduct research, stimulate discussion and seek shared understandings about mixed-race identities and experiences.
Practically, we deliver young peoples workshops in schools and community projects, host national and regional youth conferences, support parents and carers, train young people as peer mentors and produce multi agency resources.
Developing the existing Mix-d: brand, taking it to the next level.
Primarily designing web interfaces, you will be working with content to develop visuals for specific areas of the mix-d.org website.
Your daily tasks will include sketching, designing and developing ideas, formulating and preparing web visuals.
You will also have the opportunity to produce print artwork including flyers, posters, banners and other documentation.
Foremost the ability to create fun, fresh and daring designs to high standards.
Willing to experiment with mixed media for web output.
Someone who is detailed in approach, who can work to specific briefs.
Self motivated, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
A willingness to learn, you crave an opportunity to show off!
Working under the direction of our web developer you will have the opportunity to learn how websites are built using standards-compliant HTML and CSS markup. You will also learn how HTML and CSS is integrated with content management systems.
You will receive support and guidance from an experienced technician.
Working in a close team, you will be contributing to the development of a leading social enterprise.
Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
