Walsall Conference a success

Walsall students took part in their first mixed-race conference.

On the 1st of July 2009 Walsall hosted its very first mixed-race conference led by youth facilitators.

Walsall youth facilitators

Eight students from Walsall recently completed a two day facilitator training course, designed their own workshop around mixed-race identity and with great maturity and confidence deliver their workshop to over 50 students.

The feedback so far has been fantastic and I would like to say congratulations again on a job well done.

After attending the walsall confrence as a mentor for the young people which i attended with, myself and the young people who attended are currently working on a display in school to create awareness on issues surrounding mixed race identity.

The young people have all responded very positively to this, and i wish that there was something like this happening when i was at school, as it would have benefitted alot of people, as it is now!!!

excellent work Brad, big respect!!!
