Event Details

This was our event of its kind in Manchester. Over the past 4 years we have spoken to hundreds of young people from mixed-race backgrounds and learnt a lot from them. This was our opportunity to share those findings.

We invited mainly, multi-agency professionals working with young people from mixed-race backgrounds. Education, Social Services, Criminal Justice, Looked After Care and all other interested parties.

We looked at the key issues affecting this group. Discussed appropriate terminology and ways to bring mixed-race young people back to the centre of the discussion. We also looked at the resource activities we use to stimulate discussion and get the young people thinking.

The feedback from the day was very positive and so we decided to repeat the workshop in London later in October. That to was a success.

If you want to find out more about our work or simply have a chat, please send an emil to: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). You can also get a look at the resources we share with professionals.http://www.mix-d.org/creates/.

Help us more the Mix-d: discussion forward.
